The Venue: an architectural icon

The Meyerson Symphony Center

This venue is such a cool spot to have a wedding since they can only take a handful of events each year around their performance schedule. I love the abundance of natural light, the neutral surfaces, all the gorgeous staircases, and the incredible architecture.

The Culture: The Korean unification ceremony

The Paebaek: Rooted in Family & Tradition

One of my favorite parts of this day was the Paebaek ceremony. The couple honors their elders by serving them tea, and then the family members throw dates and chestnuts onto the cloth, signifying how many children the couple will have. The dates represent sons and the chestnuts represent daughters. Then after all of this concludes, the groom gives the bride a piggyback ride, which was one of my favorite photos of the day!!
